potential ai system to be learned in class today

today it would seem that we will be learning to program a basic AI system today in class, not the best AI systems mind you, but an introduction into the basics of A.I. programming.  this will be absolutely awesome...because I have been putting off the programming of the battle system and the opponents of the battle system, due to not knowing where to start on making the A.I. of the opponents.  this will be absolutely freaking awesome...

it turns out that we are not learning about A.I. systems...go freaking figure, we are learning about if/then statements, and something called the select statement... well this just bites, because I've been using if/then statements since I began programming in vb6... well this is quite disappointing...quite disappointing indeed...I already know how to do these statements, and can do them in my sleep... *sigh* oh well, this is an INTRODUCTION to visual programming...so I shouldn't have expected much... meh, oh well...
