REDUNDANT DB'S A SUCCESS

now I just have to wait for a responce from the web hosting company's support staff...

it turns out, that what I WANTED to do, which was to run the site from MULTIPLE databases(IE: 2x data writting databases, which the data is written to, and 2x data reading databases, which the data is then read from...but apparently, natively mybb ONLY supports 2x databases in total, 1 to read from, 1 to write to)

so I did some research, and found out that THERE IS STILL A WAY TO DO THIS...

however, and potentially unfortunately for us, it requires TWEAKS to how the database servers run...and due to our site being run from shared hosting, granted it is a DEDICATED shared hosting plan, meaning that although the servers are shared, each person has their own "server" inside of the hosting plan...

that said, EVERYONE ON THIS SHARED HOSTING, essentailly is running THEIR OWN SET OF EVERYTHING...

as such, and due to the support guys saying that they could POTENTIALLY tweak ANYTHING, as long as I ask them, WE JUST MIGHT be able to do what I want to do...but I'M ALREADY noticing a DEFINATE speed increase...granted I'm on a library computer system, and they have FAST internet, BUT EVEN WITH THAT, THE SITE IS LOADING FASTER...so this is ALREADY proving to be quite beneficial...

so IF we/the host, can/will tweak the database server's settings, and how it runs to suit this request, then the site will load EVEN QUICKER STILL, NOT TO MENTION, BEING REDUNDANT IN THE DATA...and for a website/servers/server hardware, REDUNDANCY IS GOOD...OOH SO VERY GOOD...

as I feared however... due to the fact that we are running shared hosting, making a mod to the database server in such a manor, heck, ANY mods to the database server, would effect EVERYONE on the server...and as such, the support member stated that it is not allowed...it is of course, entirely possible, but not allowed, and the only two ways that we COULD be able to do that, would be either if we OWNED OUR OWN server, or if we paid for a virtual private server, and the CHEAPEST one of them, is 600$ A MONTH...yea, neither I nor any of you have THAT kind of money...not in a month, and not for a site that none of you own, or run...so yea...not gona happen...however...I MIGHT be able to see if I can find, say, another database server system or something for free...iunno though...but then again, I never actually tried to run 2x read/write db's on here yet...so I actually dont know for a personal fact, that it is not possible...for even though the support guy on the mybb thread I read, even though he personally said that you HAVE to make that tweak...I dont know for a personal fact that it will not work for us...so I'ma try that once I get the next chance...cya guys, gota go home now...and YIKES...its 11:40...10 minutes late for getting home/turning my phone back on just in case one of my parents tried to reach me...x.x...cya guys later
