hey guys...

so I want your guys opinions on something...i got to thinking, and the guy that would sell us freaking p4 computers, PENTIUM 4 COMPUTERS, B$ SINGLE CORES THAT DONT WORK WORTH $#!T, for 65$ A PIECE, EACH...

I got to thinking that theres got to be a cheaper alternative...
I think, THINK...i've found one...

buy computer parts in BULK on ebay...

yea yea yea, I know...that will cost an arm and a leg up front, however, it will be a LOT cheaper to go that route on a per part basis than it would to buy the p4's from the guy here in town...

they are quite expensive, the most expensive items being, currently and not going to be such when we actually buy them, being on ebay and all, but the lot of 20 CORE 2 DUO PROCS was about 250$...or about 25$ EACH...you cant buy them that cheap in sets of 1...

so although thats going to cost us an arm and a leg up front, that will also allow us to get a quick start on the hosting of the site ourselves...

and to top it off...i'm running from ubuntu server as we speak, and testing it out/seeing what we will need to do to get the site working...i'm also going to / have downloaded the entire site in an effort to mod it to run from my computer...

no we are not going to move the site to my computer, this is for testing purposes only...




so what do you guys think we should do??

1. shell out an arm and a leg for a better set of pc's and over all much better hardware
2. shell out 65$ a pop for cheap lower than dirt-end computers that are already built but slower than $#!t
3. dont know/dont care
