It was about the size of... uh... I didn't really look at it directly. It was really long and split a tree. Luckily it was a weaker one.

I can. The weaker ones freeze on direct, the stronger ones freeze on indirect and kill on direct. I talked to the HQ Commander and were told those ones only stay where the woods are so thick that the sun is blocked out.

Normal Mekkan-like wildlife. A dragon lives in each hemisphere as a guardian of the locals... and the locals are all... lizard people. The legends go that they were humans blest by the dragons to have scales for protection. The blessing turned them into lizard people while their evil and sins formed into the Basilisks. Since their evil left, the people are completely peaceful and welcoming to strangers. The GC are here to protect them from anyone who would betray their trust of outsiders while studying to she if the myth is true or not. They only came in contact with one of the dragons... it was deaf, apparently all the dragon guardians have some issue, another is blind, one is mute, and the fourth is most likely lame. But we haven't seen them yet.
