attempted resume of Ashes Of Redemption delayed

My attempt at resuming the programming of Ashes Of Redemption has run into some complications...in order to be able to reinstall visual studios 2010 I have to completely update windows 7, and in order to do that, I have to install windows 7 SP1...however, I have attempted to install SP1 now probably 5 times, and each time I do so it fails...now I have been trying to do so from within the windows update program...so now I am downloading the sp1 installation file itself from the microsoft download center...

So here's hoping that the sp1 installation file itself will work...I believe I ran into this once before, and when it happened the last time, trying to install it from the stand alone sp1 installation file fixed it...  so that is what I will be doing once I'm home for the day...

If that doesn't work, then microsoft has a service pack clean up utility that I can download and use to try and fix any errors or glitches that might be causing problems with the service pack installation...

So I will keep you all updated as to what is happening, and most of all, I will let you all know if/when I finally am able to get back to developing the game and (hopefully) finding/fixing the bugs I have found...and preferably getting them found/fixed quickly...

My continued attempts at getting to the point of being able to continue the development of Ashes Of Redemption are as of yet still fruitless... I ended up having to completely reinstall windows 7, and am yet again in the process of updating windows to the point of getting to SP1... and hopefully this time around, SP1 will actually install.  I will continue to keep you all updated, because I REALLY want to get a working alpha or public beta up and running for you all to be able to enjoy and work with...  My day today is super busy, so being able to get on here and post this is not really something that I have the time to do...and as such, I will have to severely pick up the pace once I am done posting this, so that I can get everything that is needed done, and still make it to work on time / be able to make it to my appointment that I have prior to work...  so if I do get back on here and post some more updates, it will be late in the night...

hopefully I will have more progress and news that I can post once I get home from work for the evening...  until then, I will be attempting to update windows while working on the things that need done.

As of last night prior to going to sleep for work today, I attempted to install windows 7 SP1, and it said it was pending installation prior to shutting down my pc...so upon getting home for today around noon, I will boot up my pc, it will attempt to install, and hopefully I will FINALLY be able to install visual studios 2010 and FINALLY be able to continue the development of Ashes Of Redemption... I will once again keep you all posted on the progress of it...
