No we're not powerful enough to beat him, but we can still hold him back. Hopefully long enough for Sarah to reach the alter and the four pillars activated.

ok then whats with this so called Alter i say steal his powers and become one then we have a prison if you cant kill him

The alter will expose his true form, that's the only way to get rid of him. Any other means are ineffective. Just don't let him get to the alter first, otherwise, he'll gain enough power to dominate the entire universe.
